They've chosen the Navy Blue color for the majority of their pieces. At the moment we are in production on most pieces so photos are not yet available. However, the pots pictured are the correct shape and as soon as the actual pieces are available we will populate the page with real photos (The Dinner Plate is now the actual Navy Blue Plate they've ordered). Rachel and Mickey understand this process and are patiently awaiting the finished product. The items remianing for purchase will be highlighted in RED when you read the full caption. Or it will simply say SOLD! if there are no more remaining.



- Rachel and Mickey met on a rafting trip. He's a Civil Engineer and she's studying for her doctorate in Child Psychology. They are the quintessential young, urban couple. Highly educated, motivated and capable; each with a global awareness. Mickey is Israeli and Rachel, an American, attended Tufts University. I know them because Rachel was a classmate of my daughter Elyse. Tufts is an institution that embraces an international vision so it seems fitting that Rachel would choose a mate from the global community. It's a New World story and I'm happy to see that my pots can fit even the most cutting edge modern family. Rachel was cautious when we first discussed a registry, fearful that handmade pots might prove too cumbersome for a space-challenged New York City apartment. I countered that when I first brought handmade pots home to be used at my parents apartment in NYC my mother also was cautious and hesitant to give up her paper-thin cold, industrial china. But within a few months that china was gathering dust in the cupboards; good pots are warm and have a presence. They'll enhance the rituals of everyday life and in a world of schedules, deadlines and demands the patient persistence of a potter's efforts can be soothing and stabilizing. Rachel and Mickey have a visceral understanding of the values embodied in craft and with this registry bring these qualities into their new home.



In order to facilitate handling and transport Rachel and Mickey's pots will be delivered to their apartment after the wedding. We will keep careful records of who purchased what and will let them know. If you'd like to include a personal note there will be an opportunity during checkout to add your thoughts. You will be asked for Destination information but NO SHIPPING Charges will be incurred. If they show up on your invoice, not to worry, we will automatically deduct them before your card is run.
